The Forté Orthopedic Research Institute organizes The Laddie to generate resources to benefit the medical research and education undertaken by the orthopedic surgeons and clinical researchers at Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. The Forté Orthopedic Research Institute, a 501(c)3 charitable organization is committed to solving orthopedic problems that limit an individual’s ability to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

Thomas A. Brady, M.D., is the father of sports medicine in central Indiana. Dr. Brady established a walk-in clinic in the basement of Methodist Hospital in the early 1960’s. This clinic endured until it became the Methodist Sports Medicine Center (now Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics). Being a good Irishman, Dr. Brady would call many of those he worked with, “Laddie.” Therefore, in recognition of Dr. Brady and his medical legacy, we call this golf tournament “The Laddie”.
